Summary
You need to access the Glass Balustrade module before you can define temperature, modify geometry, or run design calculations of the connection between the glass panel and the U-profile. This article explains how to access the module so you can begin your design.
Prerequisites
Make sure you have:
- A valid Hilti account
- Access to PROFIS Engineering
- A stable internet connection
Step-by-Step instructions

Go to the PROFIS Engineering website
https://profisengineering.hilti.com/ -
Log in to your account
Enter your Hilti credentials to access your workspace. -
Open the Glass Balustrade module
Click New in the top-left corner.
From the dropdown options, select Custom design.

Select the fixing type
In the pop-up window, choose Glass Balustrade from the fixing type options. -
Customize settings (Optional)
If needed, adjust:- Design standard (if applicable)
- Units and default parameters
Click Save once finished.

Start a new design
After selecting Glass Balustrade and saving your settings, the Glass Balustrade design workspace will open automatically.
Alternative access method
On the PROFIS Engineering home page, you can also click the Glass Balustrade tile directly under the Applications section in the center panel.
