Summary
Selecting the correct post‑installed rebar ensures that PROFIS Engineering applies the appropriate product family, material properties, and reinforcement strength to your design. These inputs influence development length, anchorage behaviour, and compliance with product approvals.
Prerequisites
Make sure you:
- Are logged in to your PROFIS Engineering account
- Have opened the Post-installed rebar module

Step-by-step instructions

Open the Post-installed rebar tab
In your Post-installed rebar design workspace, navigate to the Post-installed rebar tab on the left-hand side of the screen. -
Select the product
Under Rebar, select the appropriate product.
Click View ETA to open the corresponding product approval document.
Note: Mortar item number associated with selected product is displayed here. -
Input reinforcement yield strength
Enter the value of Reinforcement yield strength. -
Define rebar position
Rebar position can be either user defined or automatic.
If user defined is selected, enter longitudinal reinforcement details.If automatic is selected, the software will propose a solution considering minimum and maximum reinforcement requirements. Enter Minimum cover for automatic.
The section on longitudinal will be temporarily disabled for this selection. -
Define other rebar parameters
Click on Define other rebar parameters.
In the pop‑up window, adjust the rebar calculation parameters as needed and click Save.
