How to define attachment profile in Anchoring to Masonry module

Summary

Defining the attachment profile in the masonry module allows PROFIS Engineering to correctly model the geometry of the connected member. The user is notified if anchors are too closed to the profile or if profile does not fit into the baseplate dimensions. 


Prerequisites

Make sure you:

  • Are logged in to your PROFIS Engineering account
  • Have opened the Anchoring to Masonry module

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Profiles tab
    In your Anchoring to Masonry design workspace, navigate to the Profiles tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

  2. Go to the Profiles section
    Enable Use profile option if you need an attachment.
    In Select profile window, choose your standard from dropdown list to view corresponding attachment profiles and select the desired option.

  3. Select the Profile Size
    Select the desired profile Size from the available options.

  4. Define a Custom Profile (optional)
    If needed, choose Custom to define your own profile dimensions.
