Summary

This release focuses on enhancements to the Anchoring to Concrete module, including updated design standards, improved installation condition workflows, and general improvements.

Anchoring to Concrete

  1. New! Supplementary reinforcement is now available with Hilti Design Method (SOFA) based on EN 1992-4

Supplementary reinforcement is now available across all regions for anchor designs using EN 1992-4 and Hilti Design Method based on EN 1992-4. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and support for reinforced anchor connection design workflows.

  1. New! Hilti Design Method (SOFA) based on IS 1946

This release introduces the new Hilti Design Method based on IS 1946, enabling the design of irregular anchor layouts with up to 99 anchors and improved shear distribution to back rows. It also enhances standoff resistance calculations when the SOFA Standoff option is selected.

  1. New! Installation preferences are now easier to access and configure

The Installation Condition tab now includes Drilling and Cleaning and Setting and Torquing sections, with options to compare Traditional and Advanced installation methods. Selecting View and Compare opens a pop-up with instructional videos that demonstrate each method, as shown below:

  1. Updated! Concrete breakout resistance increases for Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) with Hilti Design Method (SOFA) based on EN 1992-4
  • Supports the design of anchors in Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) using the Hilti Design Method (SOFA) based on EN 1992-4 only for static loading.
  • Enables potential improvements in anchor resistance of up to 25% by considering the contribution of hooked high-strength steel fibres.
  • Allows users to define the fibre content and fibre length directly in the software.
  • Automatically applies the enhanced resistance model to concrete cone and edge breakout calculations in accordance with the selected design method.
