Summary

Modifying the anchor layout allows PROFIS Engineering to correctly represent the position and spacing of anchors on the anchor plate. Adjusting the layout ensures accurate edge distances, load distribution, and anchor interaction, which directly influence the design resistance and overall performance of the connection.

Prerequisites

Make sure you are logged in to your PROFIS Engineering account and have opened the Anchoring to Concrete module. If you need help accessing the module, click here for step‑by‑step instructions.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Anchor tab
In your Anchoring to Concrete design workspace, navigate to the Anchor tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
  1. Go to Layout
Click the arrow to expand the Layout menu, then choose the desired anchor layout from the available options or use the custom on for complex configurations.
  1. Adjust Rotation
Navigate to Rotation. Use rotation controls to turn the layout. Each click rotates the layout by 90 degrees.

  2. Set Reduced spacing (if applicable)
Navigate to Reduced spacing. Check the Reduced install torque option when using edge distance values lower than those given in concrete breakout tables of the Evaluation Service Report (ESR) for the specific adhesive anchor.

Tip

Checking the Reduced install torque option serves as a reminder (in the report) that a reduced installation torque must be used when edge distance values lower than those given in concrete breakout tables of the Evaluation Service Report (ESR) are used.
