Open the PROFIS Engineering website
Open your browser and navigate to: https://profisengineering.hilti.com -
Open the settings menu
Click the Settings icon located at the top‑right corner of the screen. -
Select your default region
In the pop-up window, navigate to General → Region and language.
Choose your Region to automatically apply the relevant anchor portfolio, design codes, unit system, and safety factors.

Choose your preferred language (Optional)
Under General → Region and language, select the Language you want the user interface to display.
This helps ensure clarity while navigating menus and workflows.

Set your default design parameters
Go to General → Default parameters.
Update any default design settings you want applied to all new designs, such as:- Design method
- Safety factors
- Steel calculation method (available for select modules)

Advanced baseplate calculation settings (available for select modules)

Adjust unit settings
Under your selected design module in the left‑side panel, open Units and default parameters to customize.
These units are initially tied to your selected region, but you can customize them as needed.

Modify interaction settings (Optional)
If desired, you can change how the 3D model responds to your mouse controls by accessing:
General → Interaction settings.
This lets you set your preferred rotate, pan, and zoom controls.

Save your settings
All changes are applied immediately.
You can now begin designing with the correct region, units, and default parameters already configured.
