Summary
You need to access the Diaphragm Design module before you can define materials, modify loads, or run design calculations. This article explains how to open the module to start your design workflow.
Prerequisites
Make sure you have:
- A valid Hilti account
- Access to PROFIS Engineering
- A stable internet connection
Step-by-Step instructions

Go to the PROFIS Engineering website
https://profisengineering.hilti.com/ -
Log in to your account
Enter your Hilti credentials to access your workspace. -
Open the Diaphragm Design module
Click New in the top-left corner.
From the available options, select Custom design.

Select the fixing type
Choose Diaphragm Design from the fixing type options. -
Select the diaphragm design mode
Under diaphragm design mode, choose between:- New diaphragm design file

New substitution design file
-
Customize settings (optional)
If needed, adjust:- Units and default parameters
- Design reference
- Data entry options
- Zone input options
Click Save once finished.

Start a new design
After selecting the fixing type, diaphragm design method and saving the changes, your Diaphragm Design workspace will load automatically.
Alternative access method
On the PROFIS Engineering home page, you can also click the Diaphragm Design tile directly under the Applications section in the center panel.
In the New file pop-up, choose between:
- New diaphragm design file
- New substitution design file
Click Continue.
