Defining the contact surface treatment ensures that PROFIS Engineering correctly applies the interaction behaviour between the existing and new concrete members. This setting affects how forces are transferred across the interface and helps produce accurate design results.

Step-by-step instructions

Open the Installation Conditions tab
In your Post-installed rebar design workspace, navigate to the Concrete member tab on the left-hand side of the screen. -
Define Surface treatment
Under Surface treatment, select the appropriate roughness from the dropdown menu to reflect the interface preparation used on your project.
