Summary

Using on‑site test (OST) data allows PROFIS Engineering to base your masonry anchor design on project‑specific capacity values obtained from field pull‑out tests.

Prerequisites

Make sure you:

  • Are logged in to your PROFIS Engineering account
  • Have opened the Anchoring to Masonry module
  • Have enabled the user selected embedment depth

If needed, refer to the article How to access the Anchoring to Masonry module in PROFIS Engineering.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Base material tab
In your Anchoring to Masonry design workspace, navigate to the Base material tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

Enable the use of on-site test data
  2. Open the on-site testing section
Expand the On-site testing subsection to view the available inputs.

  3. Enable the use of on-site test data
    Enable Use on-site test data.

  4. Enter strengths measured during your on‑site testing
    Click Onsite test values.

In the pop-up window, enter strengths measured during your on‑site testing based on either Pullout test or Proof load test.
    Click OK.

Tip

Ensure that the user selected embedment depth is enabled prior to enabling Use on-site test data. If not, PROFIS Engineering prompts the users to do so.

To enable user selected embedment depth, go to Anchor tab and select user selected embedment depth.
