How to use the 3D Editor in Anchoring to Concrete module

Summary

The 3D view allows you to adjust the visual orientation of your model, edit geometry directly, apply loads, and select products - all within an interactive 3D environment.


Prerequisites

Make sure you are logged in to your PROFIS Engineering account and have opened the Anchoring to Concrete module. If you need help accessing the module, click here for step‑by‑step instructions.

Ensure 3D editor is enabled.


Step-by-step instructions

  1. Modify dimensions
    In the 3D view, click directly on any dimension label to edit. 

     

  2. Input loads 
    Click on the tension, shear, or moment load labels in the 3D view to enter load values.

     

  3. Select product
    Click the product selector box in the top right corner of the 3D view to choose the product type, size, embedment depth, and to view product approval data.

     

  4. Modify the view
    Rotate: Left‑click and drag anywhere in the 3D view.
    Pan: Right‑click and drag to shift the model.
    Geometry mode: Toggle between symmetric and asymmetric geometry as needed.


Tip

Use Show/hide elements in 3D to control what is displayed. 
For better workspace visibility, use the Zoom in/out, Reset camera, and Collapse menu options.
