Summary
Defining and modifying the masonry geometry ensures that PROFIS Engineering uses the correct wall thickness, anchor plate layout and edge distances for accurate anchor design and realistic load‑transfer behavior.
Prerequisites
Make sure you:
- Are logged in to your PROFIS Engineering account
- Have opened the Anchoring to Masonry module
If needed, refer to the article How to access the Anchoring to Masonry module in PROFIS Engineering.
Step-by-step instructions
-
Open the Base material tab
In your Anchoring to Masonry design workspace, navigate to the Base material tab on the left-hand side of the screen. -
Modify Anchor plate layout
Expand the Geometry sub‑section.
Under Anchor plate layout, select the appropriate position.
Use the information icons (i) for additional definitions when needed. -
Enter wall thickness
Type the wall thickness directly into the input field or use the + / – controls to adjust the value incrementally. -
Define edge distances
For each direction, enter the required edge distance.
Use the checkboxes when you would like to lock the edge distance in a specific direction.
