Summary
The 2D view allows you to adjust rebar layout, modify existing reinforcement, edit geometry directly, and select products - all within an interactive 2D environment.
Prerequisites
Make sure you are logged in to your PROFIS Engineering account and have opened the Post-installed rebar module. If you need help accessing the module, click here for step‑by‑step instructions.
Ensure that the 2D editor is enabled.
Step-by-step instructions

Modify dimensions
In the 2D view, click directly on any available dimension label to edit it.Tip: You can adjust your grid settings by clicking on the layout tab in the left-hand panel.

Modify rebar material, position and nodes
Open Modify coordinates on the left-hand panel.Go to Material and modify yield strength as needed.
Choose between User defined or Automatic rebar position from the dropdown list.
Note: When Automatic rebar position is selected, the post-installed rebar tab is temporarily disable, i.e. the details cannot be modified.
Expand the Existing reinforcement tab to view and modify the existing reinforcement details.Expand the Post-installed rebar tab to view and modify the details.
You can also add or delete rebars directly in the 2D editor using the Add rebar, or Delete buttons in the top toolbar.

Input existing reinforcement details
Open Existing reinforcement on the left-hand panel.
Go to Material and modify yield strength as needed.Go to Longitudinal reinforcement and enter number of bars, shape, bond condition, bar diameter, bar arrangement and cover for each layer.
Go to Transverse reinforcement, enable Define transverse reinforcement to enter information on bar diameter, spacing and cover for transverse reinforcement.
Click on Define other rebar parameters to modify reinforcement limits.

Select product
Click the product selector box in the top right corner of the 2D view to choose the product type, and to view product approval data.
Alternatively, go to Post-installed rebar to view and modify product, yield strength and longitudinal reinforcement details as needed.

Modify the view
Pan: Click the Pan model button to drag and reposition the model.
View: Choose between top, side and front views.
Tip
For better workspace visibility, use the Zoom in/out, Reset camera, and Collapse menu options.
