Defining the correct concrete base material ensures that PROFIS Engineering applies the appropriate concrete grade, cracking condition, and material properties required for accurate design in the Concrete‑to‑Concrete module.

Step-by-step instructions

Open the Installation Conditions tab
In your Concrete to Concrete design workspace, navigate to the Installation conditions tab on the left-hand side of the screen. -
Select concrete grade
Choose the appropriate Concrete grade from the dropdown menus. -
Define cracking condition
Cracked concrete option is enabled by default.
Disable this option only if it can be established that no cracking will occur at service load levels. -
Select Lightweight Concrete (Optional)
Enable Lightweight concrete if applicable.
When selected, the lightweight concrete modification factor defined by the relevant design code will be applied automatically.
