Summary

Defining the existing concrete member geometry ensures that PROFIS Engineering accurately reflects the concrete member's size and boundary conditions. These dimensions directly influence edge distances, load transfer behavior, and available embedment depth in your Concrete‑to‑Concrete design.

Prerequisites

Make sure you are logged in to your PROFIS Engineering account and have opened the Concrete to Concrete module. If you need help accessing the module, click here for step‑by‑step instructions.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Installation Conditions tab
In your Concrete to Concrete design workspace, navigate to the Installation conditions tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

  2. Input Concrete Geometry
Under Exi. Concrete Geometry, enter the length, height, and width of the existing concrete member. Alternatively, use the “+ / –” controls to increase or decrease the values.
    Enter the end cover.

Tip

Ensure that the concrete dimensions match the structural drawings. Even small changes in member size or end cover can affect edge distances, embedment depth, and design results — update these inputs whenever project drawings are revised.
