How to generate and modify specification text in Anchoring to Concrete module

Summary

Generating specification text allows PROFIS Engineering to create a formatted, project‑specific summary of anchor selection, materials and installation requirements. This specification text can be added directly to your project documentation to clearly communicate product installation details to contractors, engineers, and reviewers.


Prerequisites

Make sure you are logged in to your PROFIS Engineering account and have opened the Anchoring to Concrete module. If you need help accessing the module, click here for step‑by‑step instructions.


Step-by-step instructions

  1. Click the Specification text icon
    In your Anchoring to Concrete design workspace, go to the panel on the right-hand side of the screen and click the Specification text icon.

    Click Copy to clipboard to copy the specification text.

    Alternate option

  2. Click the Export icon
    In your Anchoring to Concrete design workspace, go to the panel on the right-hand side of the screen and click the Export icon.

  3. Select Specification Text
    From the available export options, choose Specification Text

  4. Copy the Specification Text
    In the pop‑up window, click Copy to clipboard to copy the generated specification text.

    Modify Specification Text (Optional)

  5. Open the report generator
    Click Generate report on the right-hand side of the screen.
  1. Edit the specification text
    In the pop‑up window, update the Specification text as needed. 
    Select Go back to default to restore the original version at any time.
  1. Save and generate the report
    Click Save and generate to create a detailed design report that includes your modified specification text.

Tip

Consider including installation aids, tools, and specific execution guidance in your specification text. Clear instructions help ensure proper on‑site installation and alignment with your design intent.
