Step-by-step instructions

Open the Base material tab
In your Concrete-over-metal-deck design workspace, navigate to the Base material tab on the left-hand side of the screen.Define Concrete base material

Open the Base material section
Expand the Base material section to view the available inputs. -
Specify the concrete cracking condition
By default, cracked concrete is enabled as most structural slabs experience cracking under service loads.
Disable this option only when you have confirmation that the concrete will remain uncracked during service conditions. -
Select the concrete strength class
Use the dropdown menu to select the concrete strength.Alternatively, select Custom to enter a specific value.

Enable Lightweight Concrete (if applicable)
If the slab uses lightweight concrete, enable the Lightweight concrete option.
Tip
When in doubt, leave Cracked concrete enabled, this reflects typical slab behavior and provides a more realistic basis for anchor design.
